INAUGURAL BOWLING COMPETITION

I am taking this opportunity to remind you that entries are now required for our Inaugural Bowling Competition which will take place at The Roebuck Hotel, Bilsborrow on July 14 th.

Format

Meet at The Roebuck Hotel at 11 am

Coffee will be served

This is an informal “Get to Know You” session at which an outline of the arrangements for the rest of the day will be given.

Following the briefing, Members will be able to practice.

12 noon Buffet Lunch

1 pm The Competition

This will be controlled by Brian McVann, who understands these things. It will last a couple of hours or so and a Presentation will follow.

Cost

£10 per person to be paid at the start. This includes coffee, buffet lunch and use of the green. It does not include what you may spend at the bar, which will remain open throughout. Unlike Ryan Air, there will be no charge for the use of the toilets.

How to get there

The Roebuck Hotel is a large light-coloured establishment at the junction of Bilsborrow Lane and the A6. If you travel north along the A6 from Broughton, it is on your right, shortly after the Bilsborrow sign.

Bowls

Please bring some with you, if you can. We hope to have some spare sets available, courtesy of The Roebuck Bowling Club.

What next ?

If you wish to take part, and I hope that you do, please let me know, in whatever way suits you, by 6pm on Friday, July 9 th, as I have to inform the caterers on the following day.

I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you on July 14 th for what promises to be a thoroughly enjoyable day out.
