Started to work on updating Gallery material. A Picasa Web Album has been created for The Secretary Through The Ages and a link to this has been placed on the Gallery page. (The old link has been removed as it had become corrupted.)

Added a page called Visits to the site. The sub-pages of this section will relate to any visits carried out by the Association. The first one to be included is for the PNE visit of February this year. The written account (provided by Tony Olivine) has already appeared on the website in the News section as have many of the pictures but I have included this material again as this is now the format coverage of such visits will take. All the images forwarded to me for the visit have been uploaded to a Picasa Web Album and a link to this has been included.

Made a start on the general reorganisation. New Calendar page created. It contains - wait for it - the calendar of events! Moved the Events and Dinner subpages so that they are now subpages of the Calendar page. News page now split into News page and Archived News page. Guestbook added to the Home page. HTML code in the Picasa link modified to make the link open in a new window (although this may not work properly in some versions of Internet Explorer - a glitch in Microsoft's code.)

Added an account of the April Golf Tournament to the News page (as provided by Tony Olivine). Also uploaded 92 pictures from this tournament to my storage space on Picasa as an album - added a link to this below the article which will (hopefully) allow users to view the photos from within this website!

Removed the Management page from the News section. Added AGM Minutes page and Annual Accounts page as sub pages to Home section. Transferred the information previously contained under the Management page to the appropriate locations on the AGM Minutes and Annual Accounts pages and also included the provisional Minutes from last year's AGM.

Uploaded a cartoon done by Colonel John Bird for Tony Olivine after the Annual Dinner. This is now on the News page.

I am currently unable to upload photos of the Annual Dinner because of a server problem with the FTP client which I use for the Gallery material. This problem may mean that there is some delay in adding new material to the site as I may have to carry out a complete revamp of rather a lot of material. Please bear with me on this - it will get sorted but I don't know how long it will take. Important information will still be uploaded here to the main part of the site hosted on 1 and 1's server but the bulk of the photographic material may need to be redone!

A splurge of activity - the culmination of over a week's work!

Second World War Roll of Honour; Second World War Appendix and National Service lists now uploaded. These can be accessed via the link placed on the History - School and People page.

A list of lapsed (or "lost touch with") members has been uploaded to the site. This has direct access from its link placed on the History - School and People page. Please have a look at this list, you may be able to provide information concerning some of the people on it!

Great War - Additional List Two has been updated with fresh material provided by Alick Hadwen. (Other material relating to National Service Records and the Second World War will be put on the site shortly, together with a list of inactive/lapsed members. Software problems are delaying this but these will, hopefully, soon be resolved!)

A new link added to the History - School and People page. This provides an account of the War record of Cedric Naylor (provided by Alick Hadwen).

An extensive revision and update made to the material contained in the Great War/War Memorial section of the site. (This material was provided by Alick Hadwen some time ago but I have only just got round to uploading it because of various little niggling problems with layout, formatting and transposing the material to the site via the software I use.

Spring Golf Tournament material added to the News page. This includes a brief account of the event (by Tony Olivine) and a number of photographs of the participants (by Dick Bettess).

Other material has been prepared for the site - specifically 24 photos provided by Stephen Sartin showing parts of the School in the 1980's. These have been prepared and placed in the Nothing Changes section of Old School Photos. They will be uploaded to the site when my version of NetObjects Fusion starts to work properly again and I can establish an FTP (file transfer) connection - at the moment it appears to be sulking so there will be some delay!

(I've been pretty lax in my efforts over the past couple of weeks as my allotment committee were holding the threat of expulsion over me if I didn't tidy up my plot - I think I've got on top of that now so I should be devoting a little more time to the website!)

Another long photograph added to Old School Photos in the Gallery. This one is from 1939 and, although the original had suffered considerable damage, has reproduced quite well. (This was after 3 hours preparation, scanning and editing which involved, among other things, ironing the original with a steam iron!)

Whole host of new material added to Sports and Activities in the Gallery section. The Social page in Sports and Activities has been revamped with a number of sub-sections added.
